When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (encrypted). We store a count of how many files you have processed to enforce free plan limits. We do NOT collect your name, phone number, address, or any personal identification information unless you provide it voluntarily.
Your uploaded files are processed in memory and deleted immediately after you download the result. We do not store, read, analyze, or share your files with anyone. Your documents, photos, and PDFs never touch a permanent database. We cannot recover files after processing is complete.
Your email is used only to: (1) send you login confirmations, (2) send important service updates, and (3) handle account recovery. We never send marketing emails without your explicit consent. We never sell your data to any third party under any circumstances.
We use minimal cookies only to keep you logged in (session cookies). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
We use Supabase (database, SOC 2 compliant) to store your account information. We use Vercel (hosting) to serve the application. We use Groq (AI processing) to parse your text instructions — only the instruction text is sent, never your files. We use Stripe for payment processing — we never see or store your card details.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted). Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. Your account data is stored in secure, SOC 2 compliant servers. We perform regular security reviews.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. You can export your account data upon request. You can update your email and password at any time from your account settings.
ihatepdf is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you by email if changes are significant. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
